Unarmed Security Officer- MCO Orlando International Airport
Our unarmed Security Officers are responsible for day-to-day security screening of airport
employees and other individuals passing through Screening Locations.
Job Essential Duties:
• Responsible for identifying dangerous objects and preventing those objects from being
transported through screening locations.
• Carry out duties in a professional and courteous manner, providing exceptional customer
service.
• Use diverse, cutting-edge electronic detection and imaging equipment.
• Perform metal detection searches, pat down searches, operation of x-ray machines physical
searches of property, and other identification review as needed.
• Additional security related duties to ensure safety to the traveling public.
Requirements:
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Florida Class-D Security License.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Florida state-issued Driver’s License or I.D. card.
• Must read, write, and speak English proficiently.
• Must be able to pass a verifiable background check, including criminal employment,
education, and personal references
• Must be able to pass pre-employment / annual / random drug screenings.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work and interact with the public.
• Must be able to work around the flexibility and changing schedules. This includes being
available to work shifts throughout the day, afternoon, evening and overnight as required.
Physical Demands
• Ability to stand for long periods of time with few breaks
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to twist, squat, and bend over without physical limitations
• Ability to perform patrols including walking long distances and going up and down stairs
• Ability to protect yourself or others in the event of a physical disturbance
• Must be comfortable with conditions that range from Summer Heat to Winter Conditions
• Open availability without restraints due to other part-time jobs, etc.
