Job Description
The custodian will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order at industrial sites during the day shift. This role involves independently managing cleaning, maintenance, and safety tasks using various standard and powered cleaning equipment to ensure a safe and efficient facility environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of industrial facilities
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs as needed
- Dispose of waste materials safely and efficiently
- Manage cleaning supplies and maintain inventory
- Operate standard cleaning tools, powered floor scrubbers, and heavy machinery
- Inspect the facility regularly to identify issues and ensure safety compliance
- Maintain groundskeeping around the facility
- Report facility conditions and any concerns promptly
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 1 year of custodial experience
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment
- Understanding of safety procedures
- Strong time management and attention to detail
- Physical stamina to handle demanding tasks
- Effective communication skills and ability to work independently
- Willingness to work as part of a team when required
