Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:
Key Staffing is hiring a skilled Maintenance Technician for a 1st shift role with a pistachio processing plant located in Firebaugh, CA. This hands-on position focuses on minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity by maintaining production equipment, facilities, and systems.

Performance Objectives:
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on machinery.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Complete equipment startups, shutdowns, cleaning, and changeovers.
- Lead or participate in shift pass-down meetings to ensure operational continuity.
- Track and document maintenance activities using logs or CMMS systems.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors for specialized repairs or upgrades.
- Ensure building systems (lighting, plumbing, etc.) are functional and safe.
- Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment.
- Support equipment installations, upgrades, and process improvements.
- Address safety issues promptly and document corrective actions taken.
Key Competencies:
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of industrial electrical and pneumatic systems
- Team-oriented with leadership ability during shift transitions
- Attention to detail and time management
- Safety-focused and compliant with industry standards
- Clear communication skills for reporting and collaboration
Education & Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and maintaining production equipment
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Familiar with lockout/tagout, PPE, and OSHA safety procedures
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Frequent standing, bending, and walking
- Comfortable working in environments with moderate to high noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures
