As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep of our facilities by performing routine inspections and independent repairs on building and plant equipment. You will execute scheduled preventative maintenance to avoid production downtime and work closely with plant managers to address maintenance needs. Adherence to food safety regulations and protocols is crucial, as is your ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical or facility issues efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and complete independent repairs on building and plant equipment.
- Execute scheduled preventative maintenance to prevent production downtime.
- Collaborate with plant managers to identify, prioritize, and address emerging maintenance needs.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and protocols.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical or facility issues efficiently.
Essential Skills
- 2+ years of facilities maintenance experience.
- Strong project management, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Low voltage electrical skills to add outlets, pull wire, and add lighting.
- Carpentry skills to repair and finish walls and perform basic hardware replacements.
- Plumbing skills to repair/replace sinks, toilets, and replace washers.
- HVAC troubleshooting skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Technical diploma is preferred.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Work Environment
Work in three separate food manufacturing and packaging facilities located in Burlington. The position operates on the 1st shift from 7 am to 3:30 pm in a GMP-compliant environment. The role requires high physical stamina for heavy lifting, climbing, and manual labor, along with the flexibility to work around active production hours.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Burlington, WI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
