Job Title: Painting/Epoxy Associate (Manufacturing)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:45 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Painting/Epoxy Associate to join a manufacturing team. This position is responsible for preparing, mixing, and applying epoxy to small manufactured components, including decorative badges and lettering. The ideal candidate will have excellent hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and experience working with small items and precision applications.
Responsibilities
- Mix epoxy using an electronic gram scale according to work instructions.
- Apply mixed epoxy, including small lettering and detailed areas.
- Use syringes, needles, air-actuated dispensers, brushes, and other precision application tools.
- Select the appropriate tools and application methods based on the product and epoxy being used.
- Mix, match, and apply paints, enamels, and other finishing materials according to specifications.
- Clean and prepare products prior to application by removing grease, dirt, and existing finishes.
- Perform sanding, grinding, scraping, buffing, priming, sealing, and other surface preparation as needed.
- Apply masking tape and protective coverings to areas that should not be coated.
- Apply multiple coats and perform touch-ups as needed to achieve the required finish.
- Follow work orders, production instructions, quality requirements, and safety procedures.
- Clean and maintain brushes, dispensing equipment, and other tools.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working with small parts and precision applications.
- Ability to carefully apply materials to detailed areas and lettering.
- Experience in nail painting, jewelry, painting, finishing, or other detailed hands-on work is a plus.
- Ability to follow written work instructions and specifications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
