We are a growing Jiu Jitsu Academy looking for a reliable and experienced part-time janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our facility to provide a safe and sanitary environment for our students and staff. This role requires availability Monday through Friday from 9 pm to 11 pm, and Sunday ( flexible - any time after 3 pm before 10 pm).

Responsibilities:

• Thoroughly vacuum and mop mats on a daily basis
• Vacuum and mop hallways and (periodically) lobby areas
• Clean changing room areas
• Dust surfaces throughout the facility
• Dispose of leftover belongings and trash
• Clean and disinfect toilets and bathrooms
• Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and up to our high standards
• Monitor cleaning supplies and report any shortages or necessary orders
• Maintain a clean and organized janitorial supply closet
• Adhere to safety and health guidelines as mandated by local and federal regulations

Requirements:

• Previous experience in janitorial duties is required
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Must be able to pass a background check

Compensation:

• Pay is $25 per hour, higher than usual for this type of posting, to account for the tasks only taking 2hrs per day, periodically 3hrs.
• Pay increase available with a proven track record of spotless cleaning
