Overview

The Leasing Consultant is responsible for creating an exceptional leasing experience for prospective residents while supporting strong occupancy and resident satisfaction. This role combines sales, customer service, and administrative responsibilities to help maintain a well‐run apartment community.

Leasing & Sales

• Conduct property tours and highlight community features, amenities, and available floor plans.

• Respond promptly to phone calls, emails, online leads, and walk‐in inquiries.

• Guide prospects through the application, screening, and leasing process.

• Maintain accurate guest cards, follow‐up communication, and leasing documentation.

• Assist with lease signings, move‐ins, and renewals.

• Support marketing efforts, including online listings, social media updates, and outreach.

Resident Relations

• Provide friendly, professional customer service to current and prospective residents.

• Assist residents with questions about accounts, policies, and community services.

• Help resolve concerns and escalate issues to management when needed.

• Support resident retention through positive interactions and timely follow‐up.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Maintain organized leasing files and accurate data in property management software.

• Assist with rent collection, payment posting, and basic reporting.

• Manage office communication, scheduling, and general administrative tasks.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and fair housing regulations.

Maintenance Coordination

• Enter and track service requests and communicate updates to residents.

• Assist with unit inspections, move‐out processes, and community curb‐appeal efforts.

• Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure timely and high‐quality service.

Qualifications

• Experience in leasing, sales, customer service, or hospitality preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to multitask and work in a fast‐paced environment.

• Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, RealPage, Entrata, or similar) is helpful.

• High school diploma required; additional training or certifications are a plus.
