Traveling Industrial Maintenance Technician / Field Service TechnicianLocation: Wixom, MI – Heavy Nationwide TravelPay: $95,000–$105,000+ annually with overtimeTravel: 90–95%About the OpportunityTaldeco is looking for an experienced Traveling Industrial Maintenance / Field Service Technician for a direct-hire opportunity with an industrial equipment manufacturer.This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys traveling to manufacturing facilities, installing equipment, troubleshooting machinery, and getting production equipment up and running. You'll work on large industrial heat-treat equipment and related mechanical and electrical systems at customer facilities throughout the country.What You'll DoTravel to manufacturing facilities throughout the U.S.Install, assemble, and set up large industrial equipmentTroubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical equipmentPerform equipment startups and commissioningInstall and repair mechanical, electrical, and piping systemsDiagnose equipment failures and determine necessary repairsPerform equipment alignment, adjustments, and modificationsMIG, TIG, and Stick weld as neededRead mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and blueprintsWork directly with customers during installations and repairsTrain customers on equipment operation and basic maintenanceAssist with unloading and positioning new machineryWhat We're Looking ForIndustrial maintenance, field service, millwright, machine building, or equipment installation experienceStrong mechanical troubleshooting abilityExperience installing or repairing industrial/manufacturing equipmentMIG, TIG, and Stick welding experienceAbility to read blueprints and schematicsBasic industrial electrical troubleshooting experienceExperience with piping, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, or controls is a plusComfortable working independently at customer facilitiesWilling and able to travel 90–95%Comfortable being away from home for approximately 2–3 weeks at a timeValid driver's licensePassport strongly preferredCompensation$95,000–$105,000+ annual earning potentialHourly compensation is generally in the $40s–$50s, depending on experience. Overtime is paid after 40 hours, with double-time opportunities on Sundays and holidays.Great Backgrounds for This RoleCandidates coming from industrial maintenance, traveling field service, millwright work, machine building, equipment installation, automation, manufacturing maintenance, or industrial machinery repair are encouraged to apply.If you're mechanically strong, comfortable fixing equipment in manufacturing environments, and enjoy traveling, this could be an excellent opportunity.
