Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, light carpentry, and minor plumbing or electrical repairs.
- Assist with preventive maintenance on equipment and systems (HVAC, lighting, appliances).
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders from staff and residents.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools.
- Monitor and report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions.
- Assist with groundskeeping duties, including snow removal, lawn care, and exterior upkeep.
- Support compliance with OSHA, state, and federal safety regulations.
- Help with moving furniture, setting up rooms, and other facility-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Driver's license and your own transportation as you will be on call on a rotating schedule, may have to run labs to the hospital for processing
- Previous experience in maintenance, building repair, or a related field preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and a customer-service mindset.
- Knowledge of HIPPA laws and abide by them
Work Environment:
- Skilled Nursing Facility setting with interaction with residents, staff, and visitors.
- May require working in various conditions (indoors, outdoors, hot/cold environments).
- Occasional evening or weekend work for emergencies or special projects.
