What You'll Do

• Assist with the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the facility.

• Perform routine repairs and maintenance throughout the building and grounds.

• Complete work orders and maintenance requests in a timely manner.

• Perform basic repairs such as painting, minor carpentry, changing light bulbs, and other general maintenance tasks.

• Help maintain resident rooms, common areas, offices, and other facility spaces in safe and good working condition.

• Assist with maintaining electrical, plumbing, heating, cooling, and other building systems by identifying issues and reporting concerns promptly.

• Help keep the building and grounds free of safety hazards.

• Assist with routine building, grounds, and equipment inspections.

• Help maintain the facility in compliance with applicable safety requirements, codes, and regulations.

• Assist with preventative maintenance tasks and maintain appropriate records.

• Help maintain the grounds, including mowing, trimming, leaf and litter removal, and keeping sidewalks clear of debris.

• Assist with maintaining outdoor areas, windows, screens, and other exterior areas of the facility.

• Keep maintenance areas, storage rooms, and workspaces clean and organized.

• Assist with emergency preparedness activities, including fire safety and drills.

• Work with other departments to address maintenance needs throughout the facility.

• Assist with outside vendors and contractors as directed.

• Follow all facility safety procedures and use equipment appropriately.

• Respond to maintenance emergencies and urgent requests as needed.

• Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.

What You Need

• High school diploma or GED preferred, or equivalent related work experience.

• Previous maintenance, repair, construction, or facility experience preferred.

• Basic knowledge of general building maintenance and repair.

• Ability to perform basic painting, minor carpentry, and routine maintenance tasks.

• Ability to safely operate maintenance and grounds equipment such as lawn mowers, weed eaters, blowers, edgers, pressure washers, and similar equipment.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Dependable, responsible, and able to work well as part of a team.

• Ability to communicate professionally with residents, families, staff, leadership, and vendors.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

• Ability to work independently and complete assignments efficiently.

• Ability to work safely and follow established procedures.

• Ability to work in a physically active role and perform routine maintenance duties as needed.
