Our company owns and operates residential and commercial real estate, manages office leasing, and services a seller-financing portfolio. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and has strong accounting fundamentals.
Responsibilities
- Record and reconcile daily financial transactions
- Perform monthly bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with month-end close and financial reporting
- Maintain accounting records across multiple entities
- Manage property records in Appfolio & related software
- Support accounts payable and receivable processes
- Record seller-financed loans and payment activity
- Assist with tenant billing, lease accounting, and property-related transactions
- Review financial data for accuracy and identify discrepancies
- Support management with reporting and operational accounting needs
Qualifications
- MUST HAVE 3+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial statements
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and professionalism
- Real estate accounting experience preferred
- Experience with multi-entity accounting preferred
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Must have experience in either Appfolio and Yardi
- Bachelors in Business, Accounting or Finance
