Facility: Rehabilitation Center of Orlando
Position: Maintenance Assistant
Location: Orlando, FL
Shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $23 – $25 per hour
Job Summary
Rehabilitation Center of Orlando is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the Maintenance Director in ensuring our facility remains safe, clean, and well-maintained for residents, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities

Assist and take direction from the Maintenance Director with daily operations.

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on handrails, windows, walls, ceilings, flooring, and other facility components.

Assist with the maintenance of HVAC systems, emergency lighting, fire alarms, and sprinkler systems.

Maintain the building and grounds to ensure a clean, safe, and orderly environment.

Assume supervisory duties in the absence of the Maintenance Director.

Provide excellent customer service to residents and families while creating a welcoming environment.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements

Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a healthcare or similar environment.

Ability to work independently while following direction and feedback.

Knowledge of basic repairs and facility maintenance.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new maintenance practices.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety, sanitation, and organization.
