Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing basic maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning and upkeep of equipment and facilities. This entry-level role involves assisting more experienced technicians, learning maintenance procedures, and gradually gaining the skills necessary to troubleshoot and repair equipment. The position plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations by maintaining machinery, conducting preventive maintenance, and ensuring a safe work environment.

Responsibilites:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep equipment running efficiently.
  • Assist with repairs, troubleshooting, and machinery installations.
  • Follow safety protocols and document maintenance activities.
  • Maintain organized tools, accurate records, and monitor spare parts inventory.
  • Support facility upkeep and collaborate with production to minimize downtime.
  • Participate in training and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Good understanding of mechanical and electrical systems (troubleshooting electrical panels 480 and below).
  • 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance or a related field.
  • Good knowledge of tools, equipment, and machinery (heavy equipment including conveyor lines experience is preferred).
  • Ability to read and follow maintenance manuals, blueprints, and schematics - great knowledge of safety when working around equipment.
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for minor mechanical or electrical issues.
  • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Experience in PLC.
