Job Description
The Real Estate Sales Agent works directly with buyers and sellers throughout the property transaction process. This role is focused on building client relationships, finding suitable properties, presenting listings, negotiating offers, and keeping transactions moving from the first conversation through closing.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with buyers and sellers to understand their property needs, budget, and timeline.
- Research available properties and recommend listings that fit each client's requirements.
- Arrange and conduct property showings, private tours, and open houses.
- Prepare and present offers, counteroffers, purchase agreements, and other transaction documents.
- Negotiate pricing and contract terms while representing the client's interests.
- Advise clients on local market conditions, property values, financing considerations, and the buying or selling process.
- Coordinate with lenders, inspectors, title/escrow professionals, and other parties through closing.
- Develop new business through referrals, networking, prospecting, and follow-up with potential clients.
Requirements
- Active real estate license in the state where the agent will work.
- Strong communication, negotiation, sales, and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple clients and transactions.
- Good knowledge of the local housing market and surrounding communities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings or weekends when clients require it. State licensing is required for real estate sales agents.
