Title: Sr. Mfg Equipment Maintenance Technician
Location: Rochester, NY 14625| On-site
Shift: Second shift
Pay Rate: $38/hr on W2
Type & Duration: Contract | 12 months
Full Job Description:
• This position is ideal for a mechanically inclined technician with strong electrical and diagnostic experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on blow molding, extrusion blowing, and injection molding machines and associated auxiliary equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair industrial electrical systems, including motors, controls, sensors, relays, and AC/DC drives
• Diagnosing mechanical failures involving hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, pumps, and drive systems
• Support troubleshooting of PLC-controlled equipment (basic fault tracing and component replacement)
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, ladder logic, and technical manuals
• Maintain and repair HVAC and facility support systems as needed
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent repeat failures
• Document maintenance activities and work orders in SAP, Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to improve equipment uptime and reliability
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on OEE, reliability, and process stability
• Follow OSHA and company safety standards including LOTO procedures
Required Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or GED
• 3+ years' experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Preferred: Minimum 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience working as a mechanic or Technician
Technical Skills & Experience:
• Preferred: Electrical diagnostics (120V–480V systems)
• Hydraulics and pneumatics troubleshooting
• Mechanical systems repair (bearings, belts, couplings, alignment)
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• 2+ years experience working on molding machines
• Motor controls and VFD troubleshooting
• Working knowledge of AC/DC drives
• Experience with industrial automation systems
