Position Summary\n
The Facilities & EH&S Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s facilities, maintenance operations, environmental health and safety programs, and related regulatory compliance.
\n
This position leads the Facilities and EH&S functions, manages facilities personnel, coordinates maintenance and repair activities, and ensures company facilities remain safe, clean, functional, compliant, and capable of supporting aviation maintenance and production operations.
\n
The Manager works closely with Operations, Production, Quality, Human Resources, Compliance, and company leadership to identify risks, resolve facility issues, support regulatory requirements, and minimize operational disruptions.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesFacilities Management\n

- Manage the day-to-day operation, maintenance, condition, and upkeep of company facilities.
- Lead, assign, prioritize, and monitor the work of Facilities Maintenance and Support Technicians.
- Establish maintenance priorities based on safety, compliance, operational, and business needs.
- Provide technical guidance, training, and hands-on support to facilities personnel.
- Monitor employee performance, productivity, quality, and adherence to safety requirements.
- Identify facility deficiencies, risks, and improvement opportunities and coordinate corrective actions.
- Support facility improvements, renovations, expansions, relocations, and capital projects.

Maintenance & Operations\n

- Oversee general facility maintenance, repairs, inspections, and improvements.
- Coordinate troubleshooting and repairs involving electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, carpentry, structural, and general building systems.
- Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs for facility systems and equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections and ensure deficiencies are documented and corrected.
- Coordinate specialized contractors and service providers when required.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with company requirements, manufacturer recommendations, applicable codes, and regulations.
- Coordinate facility support requests while minimizing disruption to production and business operations.
- Support facility preparation for FAA inspections, customer visits, audits, regulatory inspections, and company events.

Environmental, Health & Safety\n

- Manage and coordinate the company’s EH&S program.
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, programs, and safe work practices.
- Promote a proactive safety culture focused on hazard prevention and continuous improvement.
- Conduct or coordinate workplace safety inspections and corrective actions.
- Identify and address workplace safety, health, and environmental hazards.
- Coordinate employee EH&S training and maintain required documentation.
- Stay informed of applicable OSHA and environmental requirements.
- Support incident, injury, near-miss, and property-damage investigations.

OSHA & Environmental Compliance\n

- Coordinate compliance with applicable OSHA requirements and workplace safety programs.
- Support programs such as Hazard Communication, PPE, Emergency Action Planning, Fire Prevention, Lockout/Tagout, Electrical Safety, Fall Protection, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, and Powered Industrial Trucks, as applicable.
- Monitor hazardous and regulated materials and waste for proper identification, labeling, storage, handling, and disposal.
- Coordinate hazardous waste disposal through approved vendors.
- Maintain applicable environmental records, manifests, inspections, and vendor documentation.
- Coordinate spill prevention, response, and corrective actions as applicable.

Emergency & Fire/Life Safety\n

- Maintain facility emergency preparedness and evacuation procedures.
- Ensure emergency exits, evacuation routes, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, eyewash stations, safety showers, first-aid equipment, and other emergency equipment remain accessible and properly maintained.
- Coordinate required fire and life-safety inspections, testing, and servicing.
- Support emergency drills and respond to facility emergencies as needed.

Vendor, Contractor & Inventory Management\n

- Select, coordinate, and monitor vendors and contractors for maintenance, inspections, repairs, testing, and facility projects.
- Obtain estimates, coordinate schedules, monitor contractor performance, and verify completion of work.
- Ensure contractors comply with company safety, security, and operational requirements.
- Manage maintenance tools, equipment, parts, supplies, and inventory.
- Recommend equipment replacement, facility upgrades, and improvement needs.

Documentation, Budget & Compliance\n

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, repairs, preventive maintenance, service calls, equipment history, permits, certifications, and related documentation.
- Track maintenance and inspection deadlines.
- Assist with the Facilities and EH&S budget and monitor maintenance, repair, supply, and contractor expenses.
- Support FAA inspections, customer audits, quality audits, environmental inspections, and other regulatory reviews.
- Coordinate corrective actions resulting from facility, safety, or audit findings.
- Work with Quality and Compliance to ensure facility activities do not adversely affect aircraft components, production processes, controlled materials, or regulated work areas.

QualificationsRequired\n
- \n
- High school diploma or GED.
- Significant experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, industrial maintenance, EH&S, or a related field.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience with facilities, maintenance, or support personnel.
- Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, carpentry, building systems, and general facility maintenance.
- Working knowledge of workplace safety practices and applicable OSHA requirements.
- Experience with preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, vendors, contractors, and facility projects.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, organizational, and documentation skills.
- Ability to prioritize competing safety, facility, and operational requirements.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with employees, management, contractors, vendors, auditors, inspectors, and regulatory representatives.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions within the scope of the position.

Preferred\n

- Associate degree, technical certification, vocational training, or equivalent experience in facilities management, industrial maintenance, occupational safety, EH&S, HVAC, electrical, mechanical systems, or a related field.
- Experience in aviation, MRO, aerospace, manufacturing, industrial, or another regulated environment.
- OSHA 30-Hour General Industry training or other relevant safety training.
- Experience with hazardous materials, hazardous waste, environmental compliance, or CMMS systems.
- Familiarity with FAA repair station environments, AS9100, AS9110, ISO 9001, or similar quality systems.
- Experience supporting regulatory inspections, customer audits, and corrective-action programs.

Physical & Work Environment\n
This position requires regular presence throughout company facilities, including offices, warehouses, production and shop-floor areas, mechanical rooms, maintenance areas, storage areas, and exterior spaces.
\n
The employee must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, climb, work from ladders when trained and authorized, and lift or move materials, tools, equipment, and supplies as required. The position may involve exposure to noise, dust, machinery, chemicals, oils, solvents, temperature variations, and other conditions common to an industrial aviation maintenance environment.
