Picture this: you arrive for 1st shift at a well-established manufacturer in the Itasca area. Production is ramping up, and your expertise keeps the lines running. By mid-morning, you’ve diagnosed a VFD issue on a conveyor drive. After lunch, you’re swapping a gearbox bearing, then tuning sensors to stabilize a packaging station. Before you head out, you log PMs, update maintenance records, and partner with operators to prevent the next unplanned stop.

What you’ll do

• Pinpoint, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical faults on production machinery
• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize uptime
• Work hands-on with motors, VFDs, sensors, switches, electrical components, and industrial controls
• Service and rebuild hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Maintain and repair conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, and related assemblies
• Diagnose root causes of equipment failures to reduce downtime
• Perform machine adjustments, installations, and component changeouts
• Read and interpret mechanical prints, electrical schematics, and OEM manuals
• Support the preventive maintenance program and keep meticulous maintenance documentation
• Collaborate with production staff to spot recurring issues and elevate equipment reliability

What sets you up for success

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (manufacturing, metalworking, fabrication, stamping, or similar)
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently
• Working knowledge of industrial electricity, including 3‑phase motors and 480V systems
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, VFDs, conveyors, gearboxes, bearings, and motors
• Welding/fabrication skills are a plus
• Comfort thriving in a fast-paced production environment
