Our client, a mission-driven nonprofit housing organization, is seeking a Property Administrator to support the daily operations of a residential housing community. This role is ideal for an organized administrative professional who enjoys balancing resident support with behind-the-scenes operational responsibilities.


The Property Administrator will partner closely with the Property Management and Resident Services teams to ensure accurate rent processing, leasing administration, invoice management, and resident record maintenance. This position plays a critical role in helping residents maintain housing stability while ensuring property operations run efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process monthly rent payments and maintain resident account records.
  • Support leasing administration, including move-in and move-out documentation.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain resident files and housing-related records.
  • Process invoices and assist with administrative accounting functions.
  • Enter and update information within Yardi and other internal systems.
  • Assist with resident communications, notices, and documentation requests.
  • Coordinate with property management, resident services, and maintenance teams regarding resident and operational matters.
  • Ensure resident files and documentation remain organized, accurate, and compliant.
  • Provide general administrative support to the property operations team.
  • Assist with special projects and day-to-day office responsibilities as needed.


Qualifications

  • 1+ years of administrative experience within property management, affordable housing, nonprofit organizations, real estate, or a related field.
  • Experience processing invoices, maintaining records, and managing documentation.
  • Previous exposure to rent collection, leasing administration, or resident file management preferred.
  • Experience with Yardi strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and maintain professionalism in sensitive situations.

Preferred Experience

  • Affordable housing, supportive housing, or nonprofit housing environments.
  • Working with individuals experiencing housing instability, disabilities, or other barriers to housing.
  • Resident services or housing program administration.
  • Lease documentation and occupancy administration.
