Martinsburg, WV
1st Shift – Monday to Friday
$115k-$125k annually with benefits - Medical, Dental, 401k, Pay advancement options, Holidays, and PTO
Summary:
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for leading and managing all maintenance activities in a 24/7 manufacturing facility with over 250 employees. This role ensures the reliability, safety, and efficiency of extrusion, PET/XPET, recycling, and thermoforming equipment while supporting a growing and expanding operation.

The Maintenance Manager will lead a team of maintenance technicians, mold technicians, and preventative maintenance personnel, with a strong focus on equipment uptime, safety, continuous improvement, and start up readiness. This position plays a critical role in scaling maintenance systems, processes, and team capabilities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Equipment:

  • Oversee all maintenance operations for extrusion lines, PET/XPET processing, recycling systems, and thermoforming machines.
  • Ensure maximum equipment uptime through effective preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation issues.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies aligned with 24/7 operations.
  • Oversee LOTO & Energy Control programs and training for the department while working alongside Safety.
  • Develop and implement an inventory of parts and equipment, and manage the acquiring and store of parts
  • Overseeing the purchasing and logistics of maintenance parts and equipment for the operations department.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Lead, coach and develop a maintenance team consisting of Maintenance Technicians, Mold Technicians, and Preventative Maintenance (PM) Technician.
  • Establish clear expectations, schedules, and performance standards for the maintenance team.
  • Support on-call and off-shift coverage to ensure continuous operations.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.

Startup & Expansion Support:

  • Actively participate in startup operations, equipment installations, line expansions, and capacity increases.
  • Support commissioning, debugging, and ramp-up of new equipment and processes.
  • Help build and standardize maintenance systems, documentation, spare parts programs, and work order processes suitable for a growing operation.
  • Preventative Maintenance & Continuous Improvement
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve preventative maintenance (PM) programs.
  • Analyze downtime trends and root causes to drive corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Implement reliability best practices and maintenance KPI (MTBF, MTTR, uptime, PM Compliance).

Safety, Compliance & Documentation

  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, documentation, and equipment histories.
  • Support audits, inspections, and regulatory requirements as needed (ISO, SQF, Internal, and Business)
  • You may participate in other duties and responsibilities as the organization continues to grow.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Maintenance Management, or a related field preferred (or equivalent hands-on Experience, some college preferred
  • 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience
  • Strong experience with extrusion processes, PET or XPET materials, recycling systems and thermoforming equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Must be able to communicate in English.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to meet deadlines

Pay Details: $115,000.00 to $125,000.00 per year
