Job Description Build hands-on skills while keeping automated car wash sites running
Olympus Pines, one of the fastest-growing Tommy's Express Car Wash franchise groups, is expanding in Nebraska. As a Facilities Maintenance Trainee, you’ll shadow seasoned technicians across our Omaha-area locations, learning how to diagnose, repair, and care for the equipment and facility systems that power our washes.
Compensation: $19.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience
A day in the life
You start your morning reviewing the work order app, then ride out with a senior tech to tackle preventive checks on conveyors and pumps. Midday, you help trace a pneumatic issue, swap a sensor at a PLC panel, and document the fix. In the afternoon, you restock the service vehicle and assist with a routine inspection of water reclaim and chemical dispensing systems. Throughout the day, you’re coached on best practices, safety, and quality standards—no prior maintenance experience required.
What you’ll learn and do
- Partner with senior technicians to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain car wash equipment and facility systems
- Use a work order system to record tasks, parts used, and completion notes
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and equipment inspections under guidance
- Keep the company service vehicle clean, organized, and fully stocked with tools, parts, and consumables
- Absorb updates, procedures, and best practices directly from experienced mentors
- Deliver work that aligns with Olympus Pines quality standards
What you bring
- Curiosity to develop hands-on skills across electrical, plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Willingness to learn new equipment and maintenance techniques
- Basic mechanical aptitude; comfortable with hand and power tools
- Ability to follow instructions, prioritize in a fast-paced setting, and work safely alongside mentors
- Flexibility to occasionally respond outside traditional business hours
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable MVR
- No prior maintenance experience required—full training provided

Physical demands
Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb throughout the day; lift and move up to 75 lbs (up to 50 lbs independently, up to 75 lbs with assistance); climb an 8-foot ladder; safely enter and work in a service pit; work indoors and outdoors in varying weather; use hand and power tools safely; and perform tasks in tight or elevated spaces.
