Facility Compliance Services, part of the Altus Fire & Life Safey family of companies, located in Berlin, CT is looking for a Fire Alarm Technician to join our team! The Fire Alarm Technician is primarily responsible for testing, inspecting and servicing fire alarm systems. We value our well-being just as much as our hard work. ResponsibilitiesJob Duties & Responsibilities:
- Service and test fire alarm and life safety systems.
- Perform scheduled or routine preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment and systems.
- Inspect, adjust, clean and calibrate, ensuring systems are in excellent working order.
- Complete within assigned hours in a manner that reduces emergency calls and results in achieving zero callbacks.
- Work assignments are to be performed in a safe manner and within specified cost limits.
Required SkillsQualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2+ years experience as licensed fire alarm technician.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must hold CT L-6 license.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, follow directions and meet deadlines.
- All applicants will undergo a comprehensive background check.
- Must be flexible with working hours and be willing to be part of an on-call rotation.
- Report to assigned job site location on time, as directed.
- Maintain and properly store tools, materials, and equipment.
Hourly Rate: $40.00/hour - $50.00/hour
