About the Role:
JANI-CORE LLC is looking for a motivated and dependable Janitorial Working Lead to join our growing team in Houston, TX! This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll keep facilities spotless while guiding a team of cleaning professionals. If you take pride in a job well done and love leading by example, we want to hear from you — earning between $14–$17 per hour!
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise janitorial staff during cleaning shifts at assigned facilities
- Perform hands-on cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing restrooms
- Ensure all cleaning tasks meet quality standards and client expectations
- Train and mentor team members on proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures
- Manage and restock cleaning supplies and equipment inventory
- Communicate with supervisors regarding staffing issues, supply needs, or client concerns
- Perform floor care duties including buffing, stripping, and waxing as needed
Requirements:
- Prior janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning experience required
- Previous lead, supervisory, or team lead experience preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, sanitation standards, and OSHA safety guidelines
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
- Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs for extended periods
- Valid driver's license or reliable transportation to job sites in Houston, TX
