Job Description

We are currently seeking a Natural Area Manager / Invasive Species Technician to join our team! You will be responsible for completing work with minimal supervision but we are willing to train the right person.

Responsibilities:

Complete work orders and site visits
Estimate time and extent of projects and chemicals needed
Perform routine site visits and checks and corresponding notes to clients
Maintain material and supply inventory
Oversee work performed by outside contractors as necessary
Schedule work with clients and team
Ensure project goals are met
Long-term strategy and plan for ecological sites

Qualifications:

Previous experience with native plants and plant communities or other related fields
Ability to identify weeds and desirable plants and ability to make an action plan
Familiarity with pesticide equipment and chemicals
Ability to handle physical workload (lift 50lbs regularly)
Deadline and detail-oriented
Ability to create schedules and plans for the season (turf and natural area)
Operate heavy machinery and spray equipment (tractor, skidsteer, boomless sprayer)
Drivers licesne and safe operation of truck and trailer
Licensed in NY or CT
