Residential Maintenance Handyman

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and experienced Residential Maintenance Handyman to perform general repairs, maintenance, and upkeep of residential properties. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of residential maintenance experience, working knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve routine maintenance issues efficiently and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Perform general residential repairs and routine property maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and complete minor plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, drains, and leaks.
• Perform minor electrical repairs and troubleshooting within the scope of training and applicable licensing requirements.
• Repair doors, locks, cabinets, drywall, flooring, and other household fixtures.
• Perform painting, patching, caulking, and other general upkeep tasks.
• Inspect properties and identify maintenance issues requiring attention.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Communicate effectively regarding completed work, outstanding repairs, and material needs.
• Follow all applicable safety procedures, building codes, and property maintenance standards.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum of five (5) years of residential maintenance or handyman experience.
• Working knowledge of residential plumbing and electrical systems.
• Ability to perform general repairs and troubleshoot common maintenance problems.
• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• The ability to travel to residential properties as required, own vehicle and tools are a plus but not required (company can provide transportation and tools).
• Ability to work independently and in a team, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
• Strong problem-solving skills, dependability, and attention to detail.
• Professional demeanor and good communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience maintaining apartments, rental properties, or residential buildings.
• Familiarity with basic maintenance tools, equipment, and materials.
• Bi-lingual highly preffered (English & Spanish)
