Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on food processing equipment, including both mechanical and electrical systems. Responsible for breaking down machinery for cleaning and starting up the machinery. Strong electrical troubleshooting skills are required.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on food processing equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems.
- Break down machinery for cleaning and perform start-up procedures.
- Use maintenance experience to repair equipment and machines in the plant.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial mechanic or technician role.
- Experience in food manufacturing maintenance is preferred.
- Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting on 24-480v systems.
- Ability to trace electrical issues and provide specific examples of troubleshooting.
- Experience with control voltage, including 24V and 3-phase up to 480V.
- Mechanical experience with pneumatics, power transmission, pulleys, chains, sprockets, drives, motors, conveyors, belts, bearings, and gears.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with PLCs, welding, and fabricating.
- Familiarity with GMP standards in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work 10-12 hour days, 7 days a week with flexibility.

Work Environment
The facility is a food manufacturing plant and operates under GMP standards. Work is performed in a refrigerated environment. Shifts are flexible, with options for 1st shift (5am-3:30pm), 2nd shift (2pm-12:30am), and 3rd shift (11pm-9am). Employees are expected to work 5-6 days a week, with tools provided, both basic and specialty. Employees have the option to bring their own basic tools if preferred.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Antonio, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr.
