Roving Assistant Property Manager – Greater Boston

We are seeking a Roving Assistant Property Manager to support our residential communities throughout Greater Boston. This role is ideal for someone who is adaptable, organized, and enjoys stepping in to support different teams while maintaining high standards of resident satisfaction and property operations.
What You'll Do
- Provide on-site support to multiple apartment communities as business needs arise.
- Assist with daily property operations, including leasing, resident relations, rent collections, and administrative functions.
- Support Property Managers with move-ins, move-outs, lease renewals, resident communications, and compliance documentation.
- Help coordinate maintenance requests and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
- Conduct property inspections and help maintain the overall appearance and operation of each community.
- Step into communities during staffing transitions, increased leasing activity, employee leave, or other operational needs.
- Prepare reports, maintain resident files, and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable housing regulations.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams, Regional Managers, and vendors to ensure smooth property operations.
- Build positive relationships with residents, vendors, and team members while delivering exceptional customer service.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in property management, leasing, or a customer-focused administrative role.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, HOME, or other affordable housing compliance programs.
- Ability to work independently while adapting quickly to different teams and communities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with property management software (Yardi, RealPage, OneSite, or similar) is a plus.
- Ability to travel throughout Greater Boston to support assigned communities.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
