Job DescriptionIf you enjoy working with Seniors and would like to make a difference working for a private nonprofit, we would love to meet you and discuss an opportunity for you to join our team. Plano Community Homes is a low income Senior Housing organization that is a non-medical model. Our mission is to keep our seniors as independent as possible for as long as possible.
We have an immediate full-time salaried position available for a Property Manager at our West Campus. Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm to include a lunch break. Benefits include but are not limited to Medical and Dental. Also included are vacation, sick time and paid holidays. Job pays $$45,000 to $ 50,000 annually, commensurate on experience.


  • Must be accurate and organized and able to perform the same tasks weekly and efficiently and meet crucial deadlines
  • Moderate to strong computer skills
  • Enjoy working with the public and multiple cultures
  • Able to calculate and complete annual recertifications and resident interviews
  • HUD experience is a must
  • Must have PRAC 202 experience
  • Experience managing staff



Qualifications:


  • Preferred: 2 years college or related work experience in apartment leasing
  • Bilingual a plus;
  • Ability to handle delicate and emotional situations, which involve applicant’s and resident’s personal situations, with sensitivity and compassion, while maintaining a professional manner;
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service, both on the phone and in person;
  • Experience in working with the elderly and some knowledge of the aging process preferred;
  • Ability to organize and set priorities, multitask calmly and efficiently;
  • Knowledge of Fair Housing;
  • Able to work within the parameters of the job, be able to enforce and accept documents and rules set forth by HUD;
  • Able to accept constructive feedback/criticism and implement changes as discussed;
  • Ability to concentrate, pay attention to details, and produce error free, efficient work despite daily interruptions;
  • Ability to communicate in English effectively, both in writing and orally;
  • Able to perform heavy lifting duties which includes lifting up to 50 lbs., prolonged sitting, repeated bending, squatting, stooping, standing, pushing, pulling movements.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills as well as good communication, organizational, writing, and problem solving skills;
  • Must be flexible and a team player.
  • Some property to property travel involved for training and for providing potential residents tours of the apartments and property;
