Apartment Maintenance Technician – 2 Temp-to-Hire Openings
Pay: $23 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Full-time
Location: New London, CT

Openings: Two
The Liberty Group is hiring two experienced Apartment Maintenance Technicians for immediate temp-to-hire opportunities at a professionally managed apartment community in New London.
These are not entry-level maintenance-helper positions. Candidates should have previous apartment, multifamily, or residential property maintenance experience and be comfortable completing common resident service requests and apartment turns with limited supervision.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Completing resident maintenance requests

Preparing vacant apartments for move-in

Troubleshooting basic plumbing and electrical problems

Repairing toilets, faucets, drains, outlets, switches, and fixtures

Completing drywall repairs, painting, caulking, and minor carpentry

Repairing or replacing basic appliance components
-
Changing locks, hardware, and light fixtures

Assisting with preventive maintenance

Communicating professionally with residents and onsite staff
What You’ll Need:

At least one year of apartment, multifamily, or residential property maintenance experience

Previous experience completing resident work orders and apartment turns
-
Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, appliances, and general repairs

Ability to complete routine repairs independently

Reliable transportation to New London

Basic hand tools

Dependable attendance and professional communication

Interest in a potential permanent opportunity
Experience limited to landscaping, cleaning, warehouse work, or unrelated general labor does not meet the requirements for these particular openings.
