Maintenance Technician

Pay: Depends on experience + (10% shift differential for off shift)

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician will support high-speed packaging lines in a manufacturing environment, ensuring reliable operation of equipment. The role focuses primarily on reactive maintenance with a smaller proactive component, and requires working in a GMP-compliant, clean, and climate-controlled facility.

Responsibilities

Perform mechanical maintenance on high-speed packaging lines that process up to 300 bottles per minute.
Respond to and resolve reactive maintenance issues, which make up approximately 85% of daily work.
Carry out proactive and preventive maintenance activities, accounting for about 15% of daily tasks.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on production and conveyor systems.
Inspect, repair, and replace conveyor components, including bearings, belts, drives, and motors.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation to diagnose equipment problems.
Perform PLC troubleshooting to help identify and resolve control system faults.
Maintain equipment in accordance with GMP standards and pharmaceutical manufacturing requirements.
Follow gowning procedures and other GMP protocols when working in designated areas of the building.
Collaborate with other maintenance technicians and a direct supervisor to prioritize and complete work orders.
Support continuous improvement efforts related to line performance, reliability, and uptime.
Document maintenance activities clearly and accurately to support compliance and operational visibility.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hilliard, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
