Position Overview
Code 4 Private Security is seeking a dependable and professional Armed Mobile Patrol Security Officer for a residential HOA community in Lynwood, CA.
The officer will conduct routine vehicle patrols throughout the community, monitor parking and access points, document activity and violations, and maintain a professional security presence for residents and the property.
This is a full-time graveyard position with varying start times and rotating days off.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct scheduled vehicle patrols throughout the HOA community
- Complete patrols at approximately 45-minute intervals
- Monitor the property for unauthorized or suspicious persons
- Check entry and exit gates to ensure they are closed and secured
- Monitor fire lanes and restricted parking areas
- Check parked vehicles for valid parking permits/passes
- Document vehicles, parking violations, and patrol activity using the company reporting system
- Compare parking activity from previous patrols and identify vehicles that have remained in the same stall for extended periods
- Follow established HOA procedures for parking enforcement and authorized towing
- Monitor common areas and other designated areas throughout the community
- Observe and report suspicious activity, disturbances, safety hazards, and property damage
- Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports
- Communicate professionally with residents, supervisors, and dispatch
- Follow all site post orders and Code 4 Private Security policies and procedures

This position has a rotating full-time graveyard schedule. Start times vary, and scheduled days off change monthly.
Possible Days Off:
- Friday & Sunday
- Friday & Saturday
- Thursday & Friday
Possible Shift Times:
- 8:15 PM – 4:45 AM
- 8:30 PM – 5:00 AM
- 8:45 PM – 5:15 AM
- 9:00 PM – 5:30 AM
Applicants must have flexible graveyard availability and be able to work any of the listed schedules. Candidates who require permanent days off or a fixed start time may not be a good fit for this position.
Requirements
- Valid California Guard Card
- Valid California Exposed Firearm Permit
- Valid California Driver’s License
- Clean driving record
- Current Powers to Arrest / Appropriate Use of Force training
- Must meet all applicable requirements to work an armed security position
- Previous security experience preferred
- HOA, armed security, or mobile patrol experience is a plus
- Strong observation and report-writing skills
- Professional communication and customer service skills
- Smartphone with reliable service
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Must be dependable, punctual, and comfortable working independently
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays when scheduled
