Job DescriptionTemporary Cleaning Position
$20.00/hr Monday- Friday
7 am- 3:30 pmWe are seeking a dedicated and reliable Janitor to support the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. In this role, you will perform routine cleaning tasks, maintain sanitation standards, and ensure a clean and orderly environment for employees and visitors.Key Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain offices, lobbies, cafeterias, locker rooms, production areas, and restrooms daily, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and trash removal.
- Sanitize and restock restrooms, kitchens, cafeterias, and locker rooms with supplies such as soap, paper towels, toilet tissue, and sanitary products.
- Clean windows, walls, office equipment, and other surfaces to remove fingerprints, smudges, and debris.
- Maintain break rooms and kitchen areas by cleaning tables, counters, microwaves, appliances, and floors, while ensuring supplies are fully stocked.
- Empty outdoor trash receptacles, keep walkways clear, and remove debris from facility grounds, including seasonal snow and ice removal when needed.
- Conduct routine inspections of the facility throughout the day to identify cleanliness issues, low supplies, property damage, or safety concerns, and report findings to management promptly.
- Assist with monitoring and replenishing custodial and housekeeping supplies under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Support additional housekeeping, cleaning, and facility-related duties as assigned.
- Perform other duties as required to support facility operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years of custodial, janitorial, or housekeeping experience preferred.
- Strong work ethic with a willingness to perform hands-on physical work.
- Mechanical aptitude or basic mechanical knowledge preferred.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. independently and up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work overtime and varying shifts as needed.
PTO in accordance with the IL Day and Temporary Labor Service Act.
