Janitor / Facility Cleaning Associate
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Overtime: Occasional overtime and weekends may be required.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitor to maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary facility. The ideal candidate will have previous janitorial experience, preferably in a medical, healthcare, or food service environment, and understand the importance of cleanliness, sanitation, and following established cleaning procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitizing of offices, common areas, restrooms, breakrooms, and other facility spaces.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and remove trash throughout the facility.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces and high-traffic areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards consistent with medical or food service environments.
- Complete and maintain a daily cleaning checklist to document completed tasks.
- Monitor cleaning supplies and maintain adequate inventory.
- Complete supply order forms when cleaning materials need to be replenished.
- Organize and maintain janitorial supplies and equipment.
- Assist with setting up and preparing the breakroom for company events, typically once a month.
- Follow all company safety, sanitation, and cleaning procedures.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred.
- Medical, healthcare, or food service cleaning experience strongly preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
- Ability to lift and carry 30–35 lbs.
- Ability to work independently and follow cleaning schedules and checklists.
- Comfortable completing basic paperwork, including cleaning logs and supply order forms.
- Must be flexible to work occasional overtime and weekends as needed.
