Job Description Ready to make a real community impact? A mission-driven nonprofit is looking for an experienced Affordable Housing Property Manager to lead their residential portfolio in the South County, RI region.
Compensation & Highlights:
- $65,000-$75,000 per year, based on experience
- Contract-to-permanent
Responsibilities of the Affordable Housing Property Manager:
- Manage day-to-day property workflows, including leasing, occupancy tracking, and resident relations.
- Ensure alignment with LIHTC, Section 8, HUD, and Fair Housing guidelines.
- Handle initial and interim tenant recertifications, file reviews, and audit preparation.
- Manage rent collections, delinquencies, budgets, and financial performance.
- Coordinate facility upkeep, manage vendors, and prepare for housing authority inspections.
- Supervise on-site staff and resolve resident inquiries and community issues.
Qualifications of the Affordable Housing Property Manager:
- 3+ years of property management experience, with a required background in affordable housing.
- Solid understanding of HUD, LIHTC, Section 8, and Fair Housing regulations.
- Direct experience managing tenant compliance files and regulatory audits.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi, RealPage, or MRI highly preferred.
- Active industry certifications (such as COS, TCS, or HCCP) a major plus.
