Job Description:
This is a hands-on opportunity for an early-career property management professional looking to grow within the affordable housing sector. The Property Manager will oversee a portfolio of residential units while also supporting a broader property management team with operational needs and special initiatives. This role offers a strong mix of independent responsibility and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations for an assigned portfolio of residential units, including leasing activity, rent collection, and coordination of maintenance needs
- Act as a primary contact for residents, addressing questions, concerns, and service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Monitor property performance metrics such as occupancy, renewals, and collections, ensuring goals are consistently met
- Conduct regular property walkthroughs and inspections to maintain standards and compliance
- Ensure adherence to lease agreements, housing regulations, and fair housing guidelines
- Maintain accurate and organized tenant and property records, both digital and physical
- Provide coverage and assistance to Property Managers during high-volume periods or absences
- Support departmental initiatives such as process improvements, reporting, and special projects
- Assist with administrative tasks including audits, reporting, and system updates
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to support overall property operations
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication skills with a customer-service-oriented approach
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and sound judgment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general comfort with technology
- Willingness to learn and grow within the property management field
Additional Details:
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Work Environment: Fully onsite (split between multiple property locations and main office)
- Employment Type: Direct hire
