Keep a 197-unit community running right. GLR Companies is hiring a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day maintenance operations at Lakeland Commons, a market-rate apartment community in Euclid, Ohio.

About the Role
You will work alongside the Maintenance Supervisor to keep Lakeland Commons, a 197-unit market-rate apartment community, running to a resident-ready, inspection-ready standard every day. You will handle work orders, unit turns, preventive maintenance, and general repairs across the property. This is a hands-on, tools-on role for someone who takes pride in quality work and shows up ready to solve problems.
What You'll Do
- Work Order Completion: Complete assigned work orders in Rent Manager promptly and accurately, with clear documentation of work performed
- Unit Turns: Perform make-ready work on vacant units, including repairs, painting touch-ups, and general prep, to meet turn-time and quality standards
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks covering HVAC, life-safety equipment, building systems, and seasonal work
- Property Upkeep: Support general property upkeep and respond to day-to-day maintenance needs across buildings and grounds
- Inspection Support: Help keep the property prepared for municipal, insurance, lender, and internal inspections; correct deficiencies as assigned
- On-Call Rotation: Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergency maintenance calls per company policy
- Shop & Safety: Keep the shop organized, maintain tools and equipment, and follow safety/OSHA standards
- Hands-On Repairs: Perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, drywall, carpentry, and flooring
What You Bring
- 2+ years of maintenance experience; multifamily/apartment maintenance experience preferred
- EPA 608 certification (Universal preferred) a plus
- Working knowledge across core trades (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, general repair)
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; ability to participate in on-call rotation
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; climb ladders and stairs; stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods; and work indoors and outdoors in all Northeast Ohio weather conditions. Reasonable accommodations will be made in accordance with applicable law.
