The Pest Control Technician is responsible for inspecting, treating, and managing pest infestations in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a commitment to safety, customer service, and accurate documentation. The technician will work both independently and as part of a team, traveling locally and occasionally regionally to provide pest control solutions. Ongoing skill development and training opportunities are available.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough pest inspections to identify infestation problems
- Apply treatments using safe, approved methods and equipment
- Handle and maintain pest control tools and equipment
- Keep accurate records using manual and digital reporting tools, including mobile apps
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and pesticide regulations
- Travel daily to local sites and occasionally to regional locations
- Identify problems and provide timely reports and solutions
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of experience in pest control
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Pesticide Applicator Certification
- Proficiency in pest and pesticide identification
- Strong adherence to safety compliance
- Experience with equipment operation
- Excellent customer service skills
- Attention to detail and effective communication abilities
