Weld Food Bank Job Posting Position Title: CDL Licensed Mobile Food Pantry Driver/Site Coordinator Reports to: Food Resource and Transportation Manager Classification: Hourly Location: Weld Food Bank, 1108 H St, Greeley, CO 80631 Department: Operations Hours: Mon-Fri 6:00am – 2:30pm (on-site) Position Type: Permanent Hiring Range: $20-22 per hour Position Summary: This position is responsible for being the site coordinator of the Mobile Food Pantry (MFP) Sites, including overseeing volunteers, organizing the food line, ensuring the safe distribution of food, and assisting with additional tasks like backpack deliveries, Farms to Families (F2F) distributions, summer feeding and snack distribution, food drives, and snow removal. Collaboration and Teamwork • Uphold the core values and mission of Weld Food Bank in all activities. • Foster a collaborative team environment, working with staff and volunteers to promote a clean, safe, and positive workplace. • Continuously seek opportunities to improve food distribution methods in a cost-effective manner. Specific Responsibilities for Mobile Food Pantry Driver/Site Coordinator: 1. Pull and record assigned products according to set procedures, then load the truck with the appropriate food. After returning, record and put away the remaining product according to set procedures. 2. Maintain a safe and respectful environment for volunteers and neighbors at Mobile Food Pantry distributions. 3. Treat all neighbors and volunteers in a respectful manner. 4. Ensure all neighbor and volunteer information is completed correctly at each site. 5. Supervise volunteers in setting up the food line and distributing the product safely. 6. Assist in backpack deliveries, ensuring that products are appropriately packed and distributed. 7. Oversee Farms to Families (F2F) distributions, managing the direct delivery of products to neighbors in a respectful and efficient manner. 8. Support the summer feeding program and distribute snacks to children and families during designated times. 9. Coordinate and assist in food drives by picking up donations from local businesses, organizations, and community members. 10. Handle snow removal duties at the mobile pantry site, including clearing sidewalks and shoveling snow around the building or designated areas to ensure safety. 11. Some evening and weekend work required. Specific Responsibilities for CDL Driver: 1. Must have valid Colorado driver’s license and CDOT medical certificate. 2. Drive Weld Food Bank vehicles in a safe manner, obeying all traffic laws while maintaining control of the vehicle at all times. 3. Must comply at all times with the “Eyes and Ears on the Road...Hands on the Wheel” policy. (Attached) 4. Pick up and deliver products in a timely manner, weighing and recording product according to set procedures, ensuring inventory control procedures are adhered to. Place incoming product in the appropriate location in the warehouse. 5. Comply with laws and regulations in accordance with the food safety standards of AIB, Feeding America, Health Department, Fire Department, and USDA. 6. Must be able to complete and pass ServSafe Basic Food Handler Training. 7. Check vehicle before and after use, using the daily pre and post check logs. 8. Maintain truck cab and box in a clean and sanitary condition. 9. Ensure food safety is maintained at all times. 10. Ability to operate a hand truck, pallet jack, electric pallet jack, and forklift, or the ability to be successfully certified. 11. Good physical condition and able to lift at least 50 pounds. 12. Maintain a professional appearance when representing Weld Food Bank to donors, vendors, and agencies in a positive manner. 13. Able to read and comprehend; competence in basic mathematics; write accurately and legibly. 14. Foster a team effort and work with staff and volunteers to promote a clean, safe, and positive work environment. 15. Maintain confidentiality. 16. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: • Insurable by Weld Food Bank’s insurance company. • Valid Colorado State CDL driver’s license. • Current CDL Medical Certificate. • Ability to operate a hand truck, pallet jack, forklift, and other mechanized warehouse equipment. • Good physical condition and able to lift at least 50 pounds repetitively. • Able to read and comprehend; competence in basic mathematics; write accurately and legibly. • Able to switch duties frequently, as scheduled pickups can change quickly. • Supportive of the mission of Weld Food Bank and sensitive to the needs of the hungry in the community. • Some evening and weekend work may be required. Performance Expectations: 1. Current CDL driver’s license and Medical Certificate. 2. Product is transported and delivered in compliance with food safety standards. 3. Company equipment is operated in a safe manner; equipment is maintained according to cleaning and maintenance schedules. 4. Responsibilities are completed with strict adherence to Weld Food Bank Safety Manual. 5. Work area is kept clean and free of hazards. 6. Completes daily paperwork and reports accurately. 7. Flexibility is essential as daily schedules may change frequently. 8. Maintains professional relationships with donors and agencies. 9. Work cooperatively with Weld Food Bank staff and volunteers. 10. Contributes to the successful operation of all Weld Food Bank programs and operations. 11. Ensures snow removal tasks are completed in a timely and safe manner, contributing to a safe environment. Additional Qualifications • Experience in a non-profit or food bank environment is preferred but not required.
