Role Description The Floater Maintenance role is a full-time, on-site position located in Houston, TX. This role is responsible for providing general maintenance support across multiple properties, responding to work orders, and performing routine inspections of building systems and common areas. Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing and repairing minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance issues, performing basic carpentry and painting, and assisting with unit turns and property readiness. The Floater Maintenance team member will also help with preventive maintenance tasks, monitor equipment performance, and report any safety concerns or major repair needs. The role requires regular interaction with residents, staff, and vendors to ensure timely, professional, and courteous service.

- Ability to perform Maintenance & Repair tasks, including general building maintenance and minor system repairs.
- Skills in Equipment Maintenance, ensuring proper operation and reporting issues for larger repairs when needed.
- Experience with Preventive Maintenance activities to reduce equipment downtime and extend asset life.
- Troubleshooting skills to identify, assess, and resolve common maintenance problems efficiently.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and appliance repair is preferred.
- Strong attention to safety procedures and regulatory compliance in property maintenance.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with residents and team members.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing property needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training in maintenance or building systems is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation between properties, if required.
