A private property near Highland Falls, NY is seeking two experienced an experienced Groundskeeper to oversee the care, appearance, and day-to-day upkeep of the property's grounds and outdoor spaces.

The ideal candidates will have strong landscaping and grounds-maintenance experience, be comfortable operating outdoor equipment, and take pride in maintaining a property to a high standard. While occasional general maintenance and minor repairs will be part of the role, the primary focus is landscaping, grounds care, seasonal maintenance, and exterior property upkeep.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain lawns, gardens, planting beds, trees, shrubs, walkways, and other outdoor areas
  • Perform mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, weeding, mulching, planting, and general landscape maintenance
  • Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, power tools, and grounds machinery
  • Perform seasonal property preparation and cleanup
  • Handle snow and ice removal during winter months
  • Monitor irrigation and drainage systems and address basic issues as needed
  • Conduct regular inspections of the grounds and exterior areas to identify maintenance needs
  • Assist with landscape improvement projects and seasonal plantings
  • Maintain outdoor equipment, tools, and maintenance supplies in clean, safe working order
  • Support swimming pool and other exterior amenity maintenance as needed
  • Perform minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, and general property repairs when required
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work and ongoing maintenance needs
  • Respond to urgent property or weather-related maintenance situations as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of professional groundskeeping, landscaping, estate maintenance, or facilities experience
  • Strong knowledge of lawn care, landscaping practices, and seasonal grounds maintenance
  • Experience operating landscaping equipment and power tools
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Basic computer skills for communication and maintenance tracking
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a property team

The position offers an annual salary of $90,000–$110,000, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package and 401(k).
