We are looking for an Assistant Facilities Manager to support workplace operations across New York, New York while helping maintain a productive and organized office environment. This Long-term Contract position will focus on coordinating day-to-day facilities activities at two nearby office locations and contributing to a smooth office relocation. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing operational oversight with hands-on support in a fast-paced setting.


Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily facilities support activities across two active office sites to help sustain safe, functional, and well-prepared workspaces.

• Conduct routine walkthroughs to identify maintenance concerns, workplace issues, and operational gaps, then escalate items requiring additional attention.

• Coordinate with external service providers and building contacts to support timely completion of maintenance and workplace-related services.

• Assist in maintaining office readiness by organizing shared spaces, monitoring site conditions, and addressing employee facilities needs.

• Respond to internal requests related to the workplace environment and help resolve issues affecting staff comfort and productivity.

• Enter, monitor, and update service requests and work orders through the Angus system when building support is required.

• Support relocation efforts by assisting with packing coordination, box movement, furniture handling, and other move-related activities.

• Perform hands-on physical tasks involving lifting and moving workplace materials to help keep both offices operational during the transition.

• Provide flexible facilities assistance as needed to support continuity of operations throughout the assignment.

• At least 2 years of experience in facilities, workplace operations, property management, or a related office support environment.
• Ability to work effectively across two office locations while managing both administrative and physical facilities tasks.
• Prior exposure to office relocations, workplace transitions, or support within occupied commercial office environments is preferred.
• Experience conducting site inspections and identifying issues that impact workplace functionality or safety.
• Familiarity with vendor coordination, service follow-up, and general facilities communication processes.
• Working knowledge of computerized maintenance management or ticketing systems, including tools such as Angus, is preferred.
• Comfortable performing regular lifting, packing, moving, and other hands-on duties in an active office setting.
