We are seeking a dependable and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team in beautiful Topsail Beach, NC. This position plays a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, and fully functional facility for staff and visitors. The ideal candidate is hands-on, self-motivated, and experienced in maintaining building systems—especially HVAC—while providing excellent service and support.
Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general facility equipment.

Troubleshoot and service HVAC systems, including diagnosing issues and performing basic repairs and preventative maintenance.

Conduct scheduled inspections to identify and address maintenance needs before they become major issues.

Respond promptly to maintenance requests and facility emergencies to minimize downtime and disruptions.

Complete work orders and maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance tasks.

Assist with event setup and breakdown, including moving equipment, furniture, and supplies as needed.

Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools; order materials when needed.

Ensure compliance with safety procedures, OSHA guidelines, and facility policies.

Maintain cleanliness and organization in maintenance areas, storage spaces, and mechanical rooms.

Communicate effectively with staff, vendors, and contractors to coordinate repairs and service calls when necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in facilities maintenance, HVAC, or related field preferred.

Must have prior HVAC experience in a maintenance, facilities, or service environment.

Proven experience in general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, and repairs.

Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and complete tasks with minimal supervision.

Strong customer service mindset and professional communication skills.

Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Must have reliable personal transportation to and from the worksite daily.

Ability to perform physical job duties, including lifting, carrying, climbing ladders, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Additional Expectations

Willingness to work flexible hours as needed, including occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call coverage.

Ability to pass a background check and/or drug screening if required by the facility.
