Palo Verde Cleaning is a Tucson-based commercial cleaning company serving schools, churches, nonprofits, and businesses from Oro Valley south to Green Valley. We have been in business three years, we pay on time, and we train you on everything you need to know. We are hiring a part-time Cleaner / Detailer to join our evening crew.
WHAT WE OFFER
$17.00 per hour to start, paid biweekly by direct deposit
A guaranteed set schedule of at least 29.25 hours per week
Mileage reimbursement at the current IRS standard rate for driving between job sites
Paid drive time between buildings during your shift
Paid, on-the-job training - no cleaning experience required
Company-paid certifications and skills training
Earned paid sick time - 1 hour for every 30 hours worked, up to 24 hours per year, per Arizona law
Uniforms, equipment, and all supplies provided
Overtime paid at time and a half for any hours over 40 in a workweek
A company vehicle is expected to be assigned to this route as the company grows

SCHEDULE
This is an evening and overnight position. Shifts start in the evening and run through the night.
Your core schedule is:
Friday: 6:30 PM to approximately 6:30 AM Saturday (12 hours)
Saturday: 9:00 PM to approximately 5:30 AM Sunday (8.5 hours)
Sunday: 6:00 PM to approximately 2:45 AM Monday (8.75 hours)
Total: 29.25 hours per week, every week.
Additional hours are regularly available and we are looking for someone who wants them. As we bring on new buildings, this crew member will help open them and will be on call to cover other buildings on rotating weekdays. Our goal is to grow this role toward a full five-day-per-week schedule for the right person.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Clean and detail commercial buildings: offices, classrooms, restrooms, breakrooms, hallways, and common areas
Vacuum, mop, dust, disinfect high-touch surfaces, and remove trash and recycling
Restock paper products, soap, and other consumables
Perform detail work such as baseboards, vents, glass, fixtures, and edges
Assist with floor care, window cleaning, and post-construction cleanup as you are trained
Travel between assigned buildings in Tucson, Oro Valley, and Green Valley
Use a smartphone app to clock in and out, complete checklists, and submit photos of completed work Secure buildings at the end of each shift and follow all client site and safety procedures
WHAT YOU NEED
A valid driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle with current insurance and registration Willingness to travel between Tucson, Oro Valley, and Green Valley
A smartphone capable of downloading and using our timekeeping and checklist apps
Availability to work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings and nights Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently without direct supervision
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and complete a checklist accurately
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Must pass a background check prior to working at client sites, as required by our school and faith-based clients
No prior cleaning experience required - we will train you

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
With or without reasonable accommodation, this role requires standing and walking for the majority of the shift, bending, kneeling, reaching overhead, pushing and pulling equipment such as vacuums and mop buckets, and lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds.
