Job Description:
Our client is seeking a Senior Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and secure large-scale cloud infrastructure and applications. This is a hands-on engineering role (not development) requiring deep expertise in AWS, Azure, and Palo Alto firewalls.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5–10 years in Information Security & Engineering
- 5+ years with firewalls in AWS and Azure
- 5+ years with Palo Alto firewalls (VM-series in cloud)
- Strong cloud security design, operations, and automation experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- AWS or Azure certification (required)
Preferred Skills & Certifications
- Prisma Cloud, Forescout, Cisco Umbrella, F5 Load Balancer/Firewall
- Certifications: CISSP, Microsoft SC-100 Cybersecurity Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer, PCNSA, PCNSE
Responsibilities
- Design and deploy secure, highly available cloud infrastructure (AWS & Azure)
- Configure and maintain Palo Alto VM-series firewalls in cloud environments
- Automate cloud security operations and build accelerators
- Support SIEM, SOAR, and XDR technologies with Security Operations teams
- Ensure compliance with frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, PCI, SOX, CMMC, etc.)
- Implement zero-trust cloud security models
- Document security tools, configurations, and incident reports
