As the Assistant Manager, you are the heartbeat of Soccer 5 Puget Sound. Reporting directly to the General Manager/Owner, you will be responsible for leading our team of Team Members, ensuring operational excellence, and maintaining the highest standards of customer experience. You aren't just managing a facility; you are mentoring a staff and building a soccer community. This role requires a leader who is comfortable "wearing many hats"—from high-level business strategy to hands-on facility management.

Facility Operations & Schedule

While Soccer 5 is a dynamic environment, our standard facility hours are:

• Monday – Friday: 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Saturday – Sunday: 8:00 AM – 11:00 PM

The Assistant Manager will typically work a rotating schedule within these windows, ensuring leadership presence during peak operational hours and weekend events.

Key Leadership Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Mentoring

• Staff Supervision: Lead, train, and mentor our team of 6+ employees. You are responsible for modeling "top-notch" service and ensuring the team is engaged and efficient.
• Performance Management: Provide real-time feedback and coaching to staff to maintain facility standards and service quality.
• Scheduling: Assist in coordinating staff schedules to ensure optimal coverage for leagues and events.

Facility Ownership & Operations

• Opening & Closing: Act as the primary keyholder for the facility. Ensure all opening/closing protocols are executed flawlessly, including cash handling and security.
• Safety & Maintenance: Oversight of field inspections and facility upkeep, ensuring the environment is always safe and "game-ready."
• Logistics: Coordinate event setup/breakdown and manage facility inventory.

Business Growth & Strategy

• Strategic Planning: Help develop and execute marketing initiatives and growth strategies to increase field bookings and academy enrollment.
• Financial Oversight: Manage daily budgets, assist with financial reporting, and identify opportunities for operational efficiency.
• Customer Relations: Handle elevated customer inquiries and conflict resolution with a focus on long-term retention.

Qualifications

Experience & Education

• Leadership: Proven experience in a supervisory or management role (sports or recreation industry experience is a significant plus).
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field preferred.
• Language: Proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred.

Skills

• Business Acumen: Strong understanding of budgeting, financial management, and marketing strategies.
• Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills; able to lead a team and communicate effectively with parents, players, and local partners.
• Problem Solving: Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve conflicts quickly and professionally.

Physical & Availability Requirements

• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (the busiest times for our facility).
• Ability to stand and move around fields for extended periods and perform manual tasks as needed.
• Reliable transportation to the Woodinville/Maltby area.
