SHIFT: MONDAY - SATURDAY (ONE DAY IN THE WEEK AND SUNDAYS OFF)
From 7:30am - 4:00pm
Job Purpose
The primary function of the Custodian is managing the overall facility appearance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Pick up and transport trash & waste to proper disposal areas
- Straighten areas, such as warehouse isles
- Restrooms cleaning
- Office cleaning
- Stock restrooms
- Window cleaning
- Clean ashtrays
- Cardboard breakdown
- Warehouse floor cleaning
- Operate compactor-NO repairs or jam fixes
- Maintain a safe work environment for employees and customers while performing required duties
- Observation of all OSHA rules and regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 1 year of custodial experience preferred
- Previous experience within a warehouse environment
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds without assistance and up to 100 pounds with assistance
- Must be able to walk, stand, climb, kneel, reach, crawl, push, pull and twist the majority of the day
- Must display very good organization and time management skills
- Responsiveness – Responding positively to requests in a timely manner
- Ability to change tasks or assignments outside normal duties
- Work in a team environment
- Bi-Lingual in Spanish a plus but not required
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be dependable with excellent attendance
Working conditions
This position is performed in Warehouse environments. This position is frequently exposed to cleaning agents/chemicals.
