Job DescriptionMaintenance Service ManagerJob SummaryThe EPA-Certified Maintenance Service Manager is responsible for managing the maintenance and repairs of all building systems, apartment units, and community areas to ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained living environment for residents. This role requires specialized knowledge of HVAC systems as well as general maintenance skills, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repair.Key Responsibilities
- Manage maintenance team and elevate standards for your team and residents.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from residents and property staff.
- Monitor and manage preventative maintenance and inspections on building systems, appliances, and equipment.
- Coordinate budgeting, project planning and vendor relations with office managers.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inventory, and service logs.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety standards, codes, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications
- EPA or CFC certification required.
- High school diploma or GED; technical or vocational training preferred.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in apartment, facility, or building maintenance (multifamily preferred)
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and appliance repair.
- Valid driver’s license and auto insurance with reliable transportation.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift 70+lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, bending, and kneeling.
- Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
Work Schedule
- Full-time; may include evenings, weekends, and participation in the on-call rotation for emergency maintenance.
