Senior Floating Maintenance Manager
North Carolina | Virginia | Georgia
We are seeking a Senior Floating Maintenance Manager to provide leadership and maintenance support across our multifamily apartment portfolio. This role will travel between communities to assist with staffing coverage, work-order backlogs, unit turns, inspections, capital projects, and emergency maintenance needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and oversee maintenance operations at multiple apartment communities.
- Lead, train, and mentor Maintenance Managers and Service Technicians.
- Troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, carpentry, and general maintenance issues.
- Assist with capital projects, renovations, bids, vendor management, and budgeting.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in on-call and emergency maintenance coverage.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of apartment maintenance or related building maintenance experience.
- 2+ years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, drywall, painting, and unit turns.
- EPA Section 608 Certification preferred (required when handling refrigerants).
- Experience with construction, renovations, bids, and budgets preferred.
- Valid driver's license, dependable transportation, and acceptable driving record.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout North Carolina, Virginia, and Georgia.
- Ability to lift 50-75 lbs. and safely use ladders, tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Basic computer and smartphone proficiency.
