Job DescriptionMaintenance Technician - Any Shift - 38/hr! Clean and Climate Controlled

Responsibilities

  • Perform reactive maintenance on a wide range of production equipment, including conveyors, corrugators, cutters, wrappers, and related machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems up to 480V, ensuring safe and compliant work practices at all times.
  • Diagnose and repair low-voltage electrical components such as sensors, relays, switches, and control devices.
  • Conduct weekly preventive maintenance (PM) tasks on machines and facility systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation to identify issues and plan repairs.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues involving pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, belts, chains, and other mechanical components.
  • Perform basic to intermediate welding and fabrication tasks to repair or modify equipment and support structures, as needed.
  • Assist with PLC troubleshooting, particularly on Allen-Bradley systems, to identify and resolve control-related faults.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance technicians, production staff, and leadership to prioritize work orders and ensure timely completion of repairs.
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage accurately to support maintenance planning and equipment history.
  • Support facilities maintenance tasks as needed to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
  • Demonstrate leadership in safety and maintenance best practices by following procedures and encouraging safe work habits among team members.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience performing multi-craft maintenance in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong electrical maintenance experience, including troubleshooting and repair of systems up to 480V.
  • Hands-on experience diagnosing and repairing low-voltage components such as sensors, relays, and control devices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical diagrams.
  • Mechanical troubleshooting skills, including work with pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Experience performing preventive maintenance on production and facility equipment.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
  • Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment required for repairs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills to work with maintenance teammates and production personnel.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to established maintenance and facility procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Welding and fabrication experience is a plus for equipment repair and modification.
  • PLC troubleshooting experience, especially with Allen-Bradley PLCs, is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities in a maintenance or technical environment are an advantage.

Work Environment

This is a full-time, first-shift position working Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You work in an industrial manufacturing environment around production equipment such as conveyors, corrugators, cutters, and wrappers. The role involves regular use of electrical test equipment, hand tools, power tools, and welding and fabrication equipment. You may work in varied conditions on the production floor and in facility areas, with a focus on safety and adherence to standard industrial attire appropriate for maintenance work.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lewisburg, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
