We are looking for an Assistant Property Manager to support the daily administration and smooth operation of residential, commercial, or mixed-use properties. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing tenant service, property coordination, and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. The person in this role will partner closely with the Property Manager to help maintain occupancy records, oversee service follow-up, and contribute to an organized and responsive property management operation.
Responsibilities:
• Support daily property operations by serving as a point of contact for tenants and addressing routine questions and service needs.
• Assist with lease-related activities, including preparing documentation for renewals, move-ins, and move-outs.
• Coordinate maintenance requests with vendors and residents, and confirm work is completed in a timely manner.
• Monitor rent payments, help track outstanding balances, and keep financial and occupancy information up to date.
• Maintain organized tenant files, prepare routine property reports, and update information within property management systems such as Yardi.
• Participate in property walkthroughs to identify issues, document observations, and support compliance with company standards and local requirements.
• Handle resident and tenant concerns professionally, helping resolve matters promptly and escalating when needed.
• Provide administrative support for budgeting tasks, invoice review, and other office functions related to property operations.
• Experience supporting property management operations within residential, commercial, or mixed-use environments.
• Working knowledge of leasing processes, including renewals, move-in coordination, and move-out procedures.
• Familiarity with rent collection practices, tenant records management, and occupancy tracking.
• Ability to use property management software effectively, including experience with Yardi.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with tenants, vendors, and internal teams.
• Organized approach to handling multiple priorities, documentation, and follow-up tasks.
• Understanding of maintenance coordination and general property administration responsibilities.
