Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position supports students from kindergarten through 8th grade at an elementary school in Los Angeles, CA. The role is available ASAP through May 30th, with the possibility of renewal for the contract school year. This opportunity offers direct therapy service delivery, comprehensive testing, report writing, and active participation in IEP meetings, providing a well-rounded clinical experience in a school setting.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid certification and licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with K-8 students in educational environments
- Strong skills in therapy delivery, diagnostic testing, and detailed report writing
- Familiarity with IEP development and effective collaboration during meetings
- Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) is a significant advantage
- Ability to manage billing and documentation requirements effectively
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy services tailored to individual student needs
- Conduct assessments and testing to determine speech and language capabilities
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation to support student progress
- Collaborate with educational staff and families during IEP meetings
- Maintain accurate billing records in accordance with client specifications
- Participate actively in multidisciplinary team planning and case management
